Asatru and Heathenism

Since my heritage is that of the North country's.And since my best friend is Asatru,that I work with.Can anyone tell me if that is LHP or RHP,and why.Are the gods they worship,Satan and His demons,just using older names or what.Just curious.All reply's are welcome
