A recent article I read about one should eat and not eat during pregnancies according to aryuveda..

This article says 'drink 2-3 glasses milk a day' ; 'drink at least 8 glasses of water a day' ; 'or drink fuit juice' ; 'pregnant woman need more iron and protein' ; 'do not consume meat fish coffee or tea' ; 'eat enough veg get enough minerals and vitamins' ; 'consume iron containing foods to get more hemoglobin which transports oxygen' ; 'before getting pregnant enhance digestive system'

And then a list of what to consume when and its mostly fluids like juice and stuff thats too light on the stomach to let you feel like youve eaten enough.
Along with an overdose on fruit.

What mostly does not seem right with me is the way its written. It stinks. It sounds like its written by someone who got the information out of a mode magazin.
As for the fish. Heck where else do you get the omega 3 from?? The 5 amandelen you are supposed to eat once a day???? Thats not barely going to be enough to sustain you or give your child a healthy nerve system.

As for meat basicly youre saying dont eat anything that comes from an animal. Well how about eggs?? They should be perfect for this.

Even studies have proven theres more you need than just iron to sustain your blood which ffies they tell you t eat rice and milk for. Some people get bloody migraines from milk and diary products like that. Plus that hige amount of calcium.. I dont see it doing any good to your body at all to consume so much of it.
Understandable that you need calcium.. But not in that way and it does not work like that for everyone.

Lol sorry about the rant.

Interesting but I Concord to what u saying sounds off.
However it may also be do to different culture no?
Some or most have similarity but some do change it.

Especially to what thy can get.

True but you have to remember you need t nourish your own body as well and going full vegan and not getting the right kinds of fat is a no go anyway. Despite that the diet they give could work THERE not here.

Although it did seem a lot onesided diet though. When I have time later I could type out that whole schedule given.

Lol how true u are, in common sense u need proper diet for self and the infant only in higher does on some.

From just thinking now, idea came to being in low probity that article is to or/and the most dull minded ones.

Is herbal and ayurveda thing? I was thinking I take herbal ashvagandha capsules for increasing height.

You can get enough Omega 3s 6s and 9s from Dry fruits, especially Walnut and Desi Ghee (Oil from Cow's milk).
So far we haven't had any problems with pregnancies in India.
Satan gave us too much knowledge to fix almost anything and everything.
You want to ask about anything from India, buzz me. Satan is kind enough to provide me with so much information in such a less time ever since I dedicated... It's phenomenal.

Woah, guys!!
Hold onto your reigns before you jump to conclusions about Ayurveda. I am not educated in the Ayurvedic system of medicine, but having a basic idea about the Indian system of medicine, I can tell you that just like Chinese medicine, Ayurveda is an ancient medical science which was handed down by elite sages of India thousands of years ago.
@Taol: Not sure which book you are reading, but I can tell you that if the author is stressing on pure vegan diet during pregnancy, he/she does not have much knowledge about Ayurveda. While Ayurveda majorly uses herbs, it does use animal parts including bones, skins, tusks and so on. So no! Ayurveda is not a pure herbal or vegan medicine system.
Having said that, just like Chinese medicine is based on the Yin and Yang of a person, Ayurveda is based on the three bio-elements of body - Vata (space and air elements), Pitta (fire element) and Kapha (water element) in a person's body. Hence, an appropriate Ayurvedic diet is suggested based on which element is most profound in the person's body. For example, my body type Kapha and hence, I am frequently prone to ailments related to moisture such as cold or moisture-related wounds. Hence, avoiding a certain type of food helps me maintain good health. Similarly, my wife's body type is Vata. Hence, she should avoid foods which create an imbalance in her body, which otherwise would lead to problems related to gas.
One should also understand that an Ayurvedic diet depends on where you live based on your climate, surroundings, and lifestyle. For example, the diet for a person who lives in a cold climate, ghee (clarified butter) is generally not recommended as it is hard to digest. However, for people living in hot countries like India or Sri Lanks, ghee is recommended due to its cooling effect.
And yes! As a couple of you have told, a proper diet appropriate for the person is recommended by Aurveda.
Hope that gives you a bit more perspective.
Hail Satya!!

Lol,

Sounds like it can be an interesting way of life so long as it's balanced.

I wouldn't mind knowing a little more about it so long as the Jewish lies are out :)

But good too know thanks for some info

In europe and it seems like she has her own practice or something.

Anyway I can understand your take on it but thats with anything that I read.. I want to know the background. The why to the why to the what.

I am not saying it is entirely wrong Im saying its corrupted here or at least seems so and thats why I dont trust it.

Ayurveda does work. What you are saying are some rules which may have been misinterpreted or which people follow out of rumour and shit. I have tried eyurvedic medicines myself.   They work good. Or better. Like i tried amrutarishtam and it did cure my fever quickly. My mom tried Withania Coagulans and it did work for lowering her blood sugar. Yes many ayurvedic practicioners take it too far to try to sell their treatement. Most ayurvedic meds are under 2$. I'm damn sure its overpriced in west and doctor having heavy commission.

That sounds logical. They might not blend well with the fish.

To adopt ones eating habits from one culture into another is not a good idea. Unless its ones native culture and you moved there or went on a holiday or something.

Thanks for the info!
