Anyone in Socal that can help me train?

Ive been dedicated for 7 months.. And even with very diligent practice, i cant even get past the first step of the training manual...
falling into a trance. I hate to sound incompetent, i am a very capable man, but I am new to this.
I really want to get to work!
And also, two (or more) heads may mean better results all around.
with a focused group effort, we can accomplish anything.
I hope to hear from you soon.
I am in San Diego BTW, traveling is not a problem.
