hay! anyone going to anime north ?.. for thous of you who have never heard of it, its one of the biggest Japanese animation conventions in Ontario.
i dress up every year for it cause it is way to much fun. this year I'm going to dress up as "el diavolo" card from Escaflowne tarot deck because i think its a really nice card and no one has done it before:

if you clicked the picture .. did you notice the forehead? no, your eyes are not tricking you .. its the star of david.
and why the heck would there be a star of david on the forehead of the devil of a tarot card instead of the satanic star? well .. its ether that the Japaneses have no concept of what is appropriate and decide to put the jewish symbol on every thing that is not christian, or, because it is an anime and for the public, they use it so that they don't get harassed by anyone who may find it offensive..but personally i find it highly inaccurate and ticks me off, which is why I'm going to make the costume with a satanic symbol. it will make more sense as the "the devil" card of every tarot, no matter how " the devil" is represented, has a satanic star in it. isn't it funny thou, how every "evil" side of every Japaneses anime is represented my a jewish symbol? anyway...
anyone going to the convention this year, keep an eye out for me and say "hi, I'm in JOS" , most of us are so far apart that it would be pretty neat to actually meet someone who is cool with who i am.
