Hello hello! :OI just found.. um... something on Wikipedia. I know that Wikipedia is *not* a reliable source (owner is a jew anyway; just look at what they say about national socialism... -_-) but the information I found... well wow. :OIt's in Greek um...
http://el.wikipedia.org/wiki/%CE%91%CF% ... E%B9%CE%BF
It says that the beginning of the year began in-between the change of Winter and Spring (I will assume on Spring Equinox) and it says that each month was dedicated to one or two of the 12 Olympian Gods. Most months were dedicated to Apollo (Azazel, right?) and Artemis (Astaroth if I'm not mistaken). Zeus had two months (one of them along with Hera) and Dionysus, Athens and Poseidon had one month each. Poseidon didn't appear every year but every 2-3 years.
The months didn't begin at the beginning (1st of January) but towards the end (23nd January - 20th February, 21st February - 23rd March etc- these are almost like the days with the zodiacs!) and the fact that Poseidon would be added every 2-3 years, would be so that each month would begin on the New Moon. :O
What shocks me the most is that at the end it says: "the Attic Calendar took its last form by Meton, geometer, mathematician, engineer and astronomer, who determined the month and the years in which the month Poseidon should be added."
Aaah, so... so... We sort of had the PERFECT calendar...? A perfect calendar that went in perfect balance and accordance to the Earth's Cycles and the planets??Can... Can one actually live by this calendar nowadays? Well, obviously when an outsider mentions "the beginning of the month" we'd unfortunately think of the 1st day of the month; but we still can follow this calendar, if we want to, right?I... I so much want to experience the things that the fucking jews and sick Christian (etc) churches forbid us to live. To experience these old days, to go with the natural course of the Earth and the planets, to be spiritually free and open to nature and everything that is natural. It can be done, right?
But seriously, did we have the perfect calendar? (I'm not talking just about Greeks; I know that calendars were different before the jews appeared, but can this ancient Greek calendar be considered valid?)
