Hello, I have been diagnosed with Janz syndrome (juvenile myoclonic epilepsy). There was no epileptic family history, and the first signs of epilepsy (mild twitching in the morning due to lack of sleep, unexpected jerks, etc.) began after the death of someone very close to me. I may seem rather emotionless, but as I understand it, I was simply pent-up emotions, coupled with the transitional stage in my life (a lot of stress, uncertainty, etc.). I've already had more than two generalized seizures (as far as I understand, all of them were generalized), but only one hospital diagnosed me with Janz syndrome using an EEG. I was prescribed Depakine Chrono 500g, but I understand that this isn't the best treatment; it can also cause many other side effects, as I understand.
If anyone here has any knowledge of this, could you please advise me on a safer and more effective treatment? I understand that Depakine only protects against epilepsy, but doesn't cure it or stop seizures. Are there any herbs, infusions, or other remedies that might help? I'd also like to know if there are any good TCM centers in Russia. To maintain anonymity, I'll list a couple of cities, and please tell me which ones are good (Rostov-on-Don, Smolensk, St. Petersburg, Moscow).
I would also like to know how I can continue meditating, what exactly is allowed and what is not?
Thanks to everyone who will help, the situation is quite difficult!
