Hello, I've been applying an ointment I found at home for a few days now and performing Lord Valefor's Power Ritual. It's almost gone. And I found the KY series for the skin, I started using it today. I feel better.

Do you have any recommendations for lengthening my eyelashes? How can I achieve those long, thick lashes? Someone recently suggested a dermaroller to me, to make them thicker. They said if I prick my lash roots with it and apply castor oil, there will be significant changes in 2-3 weeks. Since you used extensions, your lashes were damaged, and they need time to grow back on their own, even if it takes a while. It’s important not to try adding anything to “help” them right now, at least not in the first few days until everything is okay again.

Castor oil is great, but it can also cause irritation or even inflammation if you don’t use it properly. You should never apply it directly to the lash line because it’s too close to the waterline. If you decide to use it, put a tiny amount on a cotton swab and apply it only to the lashes. It’s best to do this at night, and then wash the area well in the morning. If you notice any irritation, stop using it immediately. Try to find the purest castor oil possible, most of the ones sold today aren’t truly pure.

But again, focus on your eye issue first. Let your lashes recover naturally. They will look weak and thin at first because of the extensions, and the initial growth always comes in like that. Once they settle and start growing stronger, then you can begin your journey to improve them.

I won’t give any magic work for it because I’ve never done anything like that, but since lashes are made of keratin (a protein), increasing your intake of omega-3, protein, vitamins A, C, and E, and biotin can help. These all occur naturally: omega-3 in fish, protein in eggs, vitamins in fruits and vegetables, and biotin in nuts. Do some research on this and you'll find a lot of information.

Avoid mascara, especially waterproof ones, and keep your lashes as clean as possible. Small habits make a big difference.

I love your advice! I completely agree with what you say about castor oil causing a risk of irritation. I’ll add that the best castor oil is sold in glass bottles with an amber tint, because the oil is sensitive to sunlight and will absorb the plastic lining of lower quality bottles. I typically use black castor oil.

For issues related to the eyes, I have used honey and ghee to flush out any toxins. After washing my eyes, I apply either product into the inner and outer corner of my eyes and slowly rub it in. These are commonly used in Ayurveda, since the eyes are dominant in Fire and are related to the Kapha Dosha (fat/mucous.)

I make my own mascara following Ayurvedic ‘kajal’ (collyrium); medicine for the eyes. There are many recipes for this online. In essence, you burn a blend of nuts and seeds, wrapped in oil-soaked cotton. You collect the ash by holding a plate over this small fire, and mix it with ghee. This strengthens and nourishes your eyes. To make mascara from this, I add kaolin clay to give it more body and hold, and brush it through my eyelashes in the mornings. The only unfortunate part is that it can smudge if you put too much, but it’s so much better for your eyes than typical mascara. I just bring cotton swabs with me throughout the day to wipe off any excess. My lashes have grown so much since making the switch!! I’m still in the process of experimenting with different recipes, but I hope that I could add another alternative to this thread! I hate modern makeup so much. Way too many chemicals that harm us!!
