Relationships #77870 How to stop this?

AvatarAsk Zeus Operator1 min to read

When I spend a certain amount of time with some people, they start to show some of my characteristics. For example, my hobbies, things I enjoy and ideas on certain topics seem to rub off on them. What causes this and how can I stop it from happening?

People often mirror the behaviors of those they look up to. Perhaps they are trying to connect with you by imitating you to an extent. It sounds harmless but you may feel like that you are not engaging with someone's authentic self.

Keep in mind, though, a lot of people do not know who they are. They are searching for themselves in others. If these people mean well, let it be.

This is normal, nothing to worry about.

I'm still learning, the same way as you do, the same way as we all do.

This means they like you. Why does it bothers you?

It bothers them, because it may look like these people just "copy" OP, consciously or not. And OP doesn't want to deal with people who constantly mimic but would rather enjoy time with people who think for themselves and aren't just "yes-men". It may not be the case, probably it's not, but from certain perspective it looks like that.

Connect with you, clean your aura turn off your chakras. Should be good other than mind reading or telepathy
