Personal experience and practice. Actual spiritual practice teaches far more than a book written by somebody who is working from incorrect translations and no spiritual experience basis.
You can work with one Rune at a time to learn its effects. Or do the Rituals like the Gods' Rituals that use multiple runes, which will also open your mind and soul to a greater understanding of how they work.
