I've recently started yoga nidra because I had trouble going into a trance and I looked for methods to relax more. In many of those sessions it is talked about relaxing both hemispheres of the brain after relaxing the body. Today, as I was doing my daily meditations, I wanted to pictures my brain, to kind of imagine that both hemispheres are balanced. What I pictured in my mind was actually my whole right hemisphere as being bright and the left one just half bright. I didn't influence this. I usually trust my instinct when visualizing colors or these things that I can't actually see for real. Has anyone tried this before and what could be the reason for it?

#636 Right hemisphere of the brain
You may have noticed that your right hemisphere became more active than your left hemisphere during meditation. This shift is natural, especially given the nature of your practice. The dominant frequency of each hemisphere fluctuates throughout the day, alternating approximately every 90 minutes or so. You can observe this by placing a hand under your nostrils and noticing the difference in airflow, which reflects the rhythmic switch of energy flow between the Ida and Pingala channels.
To consciously balance the left and right hemispheres - or the masculine and feminine energies, associated with Ida and Pingala, you might try the Sun and Moon meditation. This practice helps unify these energies, bringing the brain into a harmonious and balanced state.
