Meditations #589 Splitting the soul

What is the objective behind performing the 'splitting the soul' meditation?
I read about it on the jos website but never understood what it was meant for.

It is a very powerful Meditation and is not for the beginners. We use it for understanding and empowering different parts of our souls.
