1930s regime Swastika

I was talking to someone online the other day, we were discussing the 1930s regime. They were very open to many points, we even discussed the original nature of the swastika. However, they mentioned figure of the past turning it on its point, and called that a perversion (we hadn't gotten to the WW2 point yet). Of course, I disagreed that it was a perversion, however, I realized I don't actually know WHY it was turned on its point for the 1930s regime. Any insight?

In addition, Germany, regardless of whether some of these people were on the right-hand path or Left-hand path, were waiting for the German Messiah.  The Christians and the New Agers were waiting for the "second coming" of Christ, while the Left-hand path was waiting for the Anti-Christ.  The fact that figure of the past chose the Left-handed path Swastika for the resurrection of a fallen Germany due to Christianity and war, made the Christians and New Agers panic immediately because the Swastika that is tilted on its axis is the symbol of He Who was Chosen by Satan.

There is a book written by Michael Fitzgerald that was originally published in a hardbound edition titled Storm Troopers of Satan, which was later republished in paperback form as figure of the past's Occult War.  This book discusses how there were anti-Nazi pre-Wiccan, but very much Wicca-like covens that were using "magick" to sabotage figure of the past's "dark side" Zevist occultism.

And people wonder why so many occult societies were banned in WW2 regime Germany...
