I tried to summon Asmodeus a couple of times but he didn't show up. I have everything for the ritual, the incense, a blue candle, and his symbol; I even set out an ouija board as a way of communication just in case I misread or in some case fail to feel his presence. What should I do?

When I did the ritual of my dedication to Satanism, I forgot to recite the prayer before I burned the paper and I also forgot to close it with the "So mote it be" and "Hail Satan!!" saying. Is this still acceptable? and; Would this be the reason for several of my failed summoning attempts?
