The Horse and the Loaded Ass

There was once a man who owned a horse and an ass. Whenever he took trips, he tended to spare the horse and put all the burden on the ass's back.

Sine the ass had been ailing for some time, he asked the horse one day to relieve him of part of his load while on a trip. "If you take a fair portion of the load," he said, "I'll soon get well again. But if you refuse to help me, this weight will kill me."

The horse, however, told the ass to get on with it and to stop troubling him with his complaints.

The ass jogged on in silence, but he was soon overcome by the weight of his burden and dropped dead in his tracks, just as he had predicted. Consequently, the master came up, untied the load from the dead ass, put it on the horse's back, and made him carry the ass's carcass in addition.

"That's what I get for my bad disposition!" the horse groaned. "By refusing to pull my own weight, I now have to carry all of it along with some dead weight in the bargain."

~Laziness often results in an additional burden for its own back.~

The Hares and the Frogs​

Once upon a time the hares, driven desperate by the many enemies that compassed them about on every side, came to the sad resolution that there was nothing left for them but to make away with themselves, one and all. Off they scudded to a nearby lake, determined to drown themselves as the most miserable of creatures.

A shoal of frogs seated upon the bank, frightened at the approach of the hares, leaped in the greatest alarm and confusion into the water. "Nay, then, my friends," said a hare that was foremost, "our case is not so desperate yet, for here are other poor creatures more faint-hearted than ourselves."

~Remember, no matter miserable you are, there are some people whose shoes you would not want to wear.~

A DOG lay in a manger, and by his growling and snapping prevented
the oxen from eating the hay which had been placed for them.
"What a selfish Dog!" said one of them to his companions; "he
cannot eat the hay himself, and yet refuses to allow those to eat
who can."

Thinking about using Lapis Lazuli but idk how to clean it as it has trouble with water. Would I use a lunar mantra to purify it/Empower it?

I wonder if it's a good idea to have rituals that curse "holy" jewish places, Like the western wall. Wouldn't that do some damage especially if they're constantly kissing it?

Out of all the times I've sunk, I've never noticed the sun's rays still reach me even in the darkness of the ocean floor.

I see now the pearls scattered about as far the sun will tell and the sharks that drift cautiously among me in my deep-dark waters.

I would cherish my pearls, but I want nothing more than to kill these kings. Those tyrants threaten me in my own waters. I would have my pearls when I please when I'm King of my Seven Seas.

But for now, I kill the Kings in the dark with the pearls and the sharks.
