I think you have to start as a teenager. When I was in elementary school, the teachers have talked to us about sex to educate us sexually.

I was a child prodigy at the time and could see things as an adult, but my classmates were disgusted and didn't understand what they were studying. So it was useless, it had no effect and to this day they are in sexual degeneration. Also just because they were children they had to explain to them this ridiculous idea of sex-only-for-procreation.

Sex is not a dirty thing and it is not just for procreation, it is the most perceptible way of showing love to someone. Because you feel it physically through universally recognized gestures like kissing or otherwise intimacy and letting people into our little world that we don't show to others, being happy when they touch us and explore because we feel it physically and not just verbally.

But you cannot explain these things to a child easily because they would not understand them. In my opinion and this is my opinion, I would wait until adolescence that the child already starts to explore his body. Also because in the beginning he will just masturbate, so he will still have to understand that certain things make him feel sensations and he will want to feel them.

On the basic level, it is good to teach these things at the correct age around 13 years old.

The most basic things of how your body works, and what different things are about to start happening or maybe already did that did not used happen before. This should be taught in the basic and academic way at the right age.

age appropriate sex ed- such as knowing the names of their own parts and that their body belongs to them being done at a young age- below age ten- has been shown in various schools to lower sexual misconduct between an adult and child cause they are taught to report things and the adult is less likely to be able to groom them since they know more about their own bodies. So this kind of education is important but it has be done with intention of raising a sexual smart generation.

What do you mean by sex ed? Yes even the youngest school age kid needs to be taught what is bad touch vs good touch, and no not all parents care to teach these things. Many girls don't know what menstruation is until they experience it and panic, thinking they are sick. It depends on what you teach. They don't need to learn fetishes at school.
