Would adderal be okay to use recreationally?

I'm prescribed to a very low dose of adderal but it helps me focus when i do power meditations and stuff like that. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to keep taking it occasionally for recreational use or if i should just stop taking it. It is a drug, yes, but it doesn't get me high so...?

As I'm sure you know, adderal is an amphetamine, speed. I've had my time with this medication and can say absolutely NO! If prescribed, take as directed. I won't say not to take it at all as I also have been diagnosed as adhd and it can be helpful. But once you cross that line it can be very difficult to come back and your brain chemistry will be altered to where your not "normal" without it. Some may not understand, but this is to you and if you have to ask you most likely already know the answer.

Oh okay. Thanx. I was just wondering because on one of the TOZ sites it said recreational marijuana was okay...and marijuana is not something that should be used for that. Youd be trying to meditate and then you would either fall asleep or start thinking about food lol.

it'd be a good idea to stop taking it for a concentration aid .< soon you'll be able to focus without that. and your nervous system will be restored, that stuff slowly harms, dependency is a root of evil .<

Let me add my 2 cents to this post about drugs too.I feel that drugs are helpful,and you should use then within reason.My case in point is,my brain lacked a severe amount of serotonin,so my doctor prescribed prozac,for a six month period.Now I know there have been a lot of bad things said about that one,but after six months,I was taken off of it,and it has helped me considerably.So I think,that some drugs can be beneficial when used the correct way.Just thought I would share my experience. Already off of it^_^ I was only on it for 2 months anyway and I would hate to become dependent on that just so i can meditate.. Father Satan and myself are all i need. I wasn't thinking too much when i asked this question. Sorry about that.

Yes, this is true. I believe that even though medications are known as drugs, there is a big difference between med's and drug drugs. For instance as you spoke of, "selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors" and medications which have a direct influence on mood and state-of-mind. Or such as amphetamines a direct effect or influence on the physical self as well. I am also on a type of s.s.r.i. Desaril (trazadone) for sleep. This works also on the endorphan of dopamine. Without this medication, I can go through days of insomnia with nothing but short nods. However, I don't crush and sniff these as with Adderall (speed) like I did in the past. Glad to hear that not only are you feeling better, Brian, but also that Munchie has been able to get off of it without incidents,(don't get me wrong, I know not everyone has that pre-...\forget the word/ gene to addiction as I do) I would like to notify you, or anyone else who may be wondering, that these is a good non-narcotic medication(?) For add/adhd known as Stretara) for some, not taking or having access to a medication may end up on here taking a long time to make a point! LOL, that was about me, anyway,

so ,uh, brian, was it the flouride in the prozac that helped with your depression?
 I don't get all this talk about medication. aren't we, as satanists, supposed to be the masters of, in the least, our own minds? you take pills for problems rather than actually try and fix them, is there not a clear problem there? I mean, maybe the insomnia thing makes sense, I don't know I'm not you. it could actually be really bad. but adhd medication? it makes you hyper obsessive, fucks with your head. and honestly, I can pay attention just fine if I care to, and I was diagnosed with "ADHD". I honestly dont think adhd is real. when I dedicated, one of the first things that changed in my life was my medication being completely gone. at first, I really wanted to be back on it for meditations. didn't really get things back then. how do I explain this...? I just don't get adhd medication, when all you have to do is choose to pay attention. you learn patience and stuff from meditation, even if you were diagnosed with adhd.

  Let me add my 2 cents to this post about drugs too.I feel that drugs are helpful,and you should use then within reason.My case in point is,my brain lacked a severe amount of serotonin,so my doctor prescribed prozac,for a six month period.Now I know there have been a lot of bad things said about that one,but after six months,I was taken off of it,and it has helped me considerably.So I think,that some drugs can be beneficial when used the correct way.Just thought I would share my experience. As I'm sure you know, adderal is an amphetamine, speed. I've had my time with this medication and can say absolutely NO! If prescribed, take as directed. I won't say not to take it at all as I also have been diagnosed as adhd and it can be helpful. But once you cross that line it can be very difficult to come back and your brain chemistry will be altered to where your not "normal" without it. Some may not understand, but this is to you and if you have to ask you most likely already know the answer.

I was wondering if it would be a good idea to keep taking it occasionally for recreational use or if i should just stop taking it. It is a drug, yes, but it doesn't get me high so...?
