You should, at the very least, also look for the other placements, the general configuration, and the fixed stars' degrees, not just these two planets.

The whole chart must be considered for a human being. Someone might have a planet in its detriment sign, but that doesn't mean the person cannot be focused or is not meant to overcome it in their life. Maybe the reason they are successful in that area is because they recognised or had the drive to stabilise those planetary energy, speaking about subconscious-wise in the case of non-Zevists.

Certain processes and body parts in the physical body are ruled by the planets, see what Sun vitality means when you correlate it with a healthy heart, healthy spine, and so on whereas Mars can be about the muscles and power behind them.
I think the best way to work with these energies is by discipline and exercise, healthy life itself since that's what they rule.

Gather some or all the comments/ replies of HPS Lydia and TG Blitzkreig about these two planets in a document and have an overall read of it after, might help.

The Sun rules over self identity and the notion of self, of the 1.
It affects the heart for obvious reasons, as well as bloodflow in the general sense, "eternally life nurturing".

The Sun generally governs the health aspects that constantly animate you, that are the reasons you keep going (both physical reasons and mental identity reasons, as that plays a role in health).

The image here should be that one is well, healthy all the time, ready to face life, both in body and in spirit.

Mars, on the other hand, is the lesser malefic. This is usually images of basic opposition. The first physical scuffle you got into with another kid, but also the vague glorified idea of war being noble warriors clashing with swords in a glorious battle (in reality, wars have the Greater Malefic aspect as well).

This is the active aspect in directly fighting disease.
The Sun builds the foundation of one being "in health" and "with health", one has chosen health.
Mars offers the active force against opposition, which is why we say we "fight" disease.

Mars also, in the more general sense of it being the active element of one's choosing to go against entropy, deals with physical health in terms of exercise and capability.

One can be healthy and not be strong in the sense of the Sun, Mars being what builds the conception of health as "being strong enough to carry out more and more taxing tasks succesfuly". It adds a new factor.

You can think of many aspects of life like this astrologically, with each planetary manifestation being yet another layer to how life is experienced.

There are plenty of athletes with a Libra Sun... because athletes are typically coached or henpecked for this since childhood, and it's usually the father.

Joshua's entire distant family are boxers. When he went to Nigeria he was beaten constantly. His male cousins got him into boxing, and they would try to beat him up. He also got into a major gang and ended up in jail.

This is a tough guy, yet the Sun Libra masochism and obsession with fitting in is still there. Whose will at core is at play here? Their own or others? He also credits becoming a famous boxer to having a formidable team.

Libra has a side to it that represents higher command and even combat, enemies in life as well. It is the most misunderstood sign of the entire zodiac and IMO, cookbook astrologers really don't understand well how it manifests in men, nor do they understand why it is a masculine/electric sign despite being of Venus.

The reason why this brings problems with the Sun is that all of this can interfere with real individuation, like being a puppet on a string. Many Sun Libras get into trouble with marriage, romance and sex for that reason too... I have seen that time and time again, more common than the violence scenario.

You cannot just assume that because the Sun is domiciled in Leo that Leos would do the best in all positions that the Sun rules, or that all boxers have Mars in Aries or something. Every Chart is a composite of energies plus exertion and will.

Compare AJ to a typical Sun Leo celebrity like Madonna or J Lo, who jumped from person to person and team to team to make themselves famous and burned every bridge, because Leos cannot tolerate non-subservience. Both of them became famous later as well, past 25, because the idea of being controlled is repulsive to any true Leo, but that's not necessarily conducive to being famous as rapidly as possible.

The Sun and Mars act in cooperation; things should not be viewed separately. The Sun is the basic vitality, Mars is the energy that “maintains” it. Without Mars (action), vitality degenerates.

Having planets in exile or fall are not always indicators of “lack,” but rather a channeling of different expression. Libra energy is an excellent anesthetic for Aries energy. Mars in Aries can be very easily overwhelmed by Mars in Libra. Like, if you put in the effort, would the Mars exertion uplift the lack of Sun vitality into a good state. Or would it just be like a bandaid which covers up the deficiency by overcompensating.

Could the actual physical liquid vitality running through the veins be affected to a higher octave state through willpower alone, say if Mars is in a good state. Or if the Sun is in Libra, there will always be a sort of "background lethargy" unless one is in constant physical activity.

But I was thinking there is a certain lack of "juice" to the body or chakras with these planets, which made me wonder why so many are having Sun in Libra. Like one or two here and there made sense, but it surprised me that there are so many top performers with this placement. Since I would guess they'd be lacking that juice in the veins pumping their body.

But what you said about Mars makes sense, I'm just surprised it's enough. I would've assumed they'd be a mediocre athlete.

Without free will, things cannot be changed, by definition and function itself. Therefore, free will is fundamental to resolving lower octaves that are already predicted in the course of life.

Since they are interconnected, stimulating one part will inevitably help the other, so yes, Mars' commitment will help the Sun.

The same thing applies here: Mars' willpower will lead you to take actions that will benefit the Sun and improve it. In this sense, they are not separate things; they cooperate.
