Should we visualize the energy when we raise it and program it? What if we only visualize the energy when we direct it?
If we need to visualize the energy when we raise it, how should this visualization look?
For example, when it comes to visualizing energy, during sex magick, I only visualize the energy like a laser beam penetrating her aura when I send it. Am I doing it right?

1. It depends what it is. If it's black magick, ONLY visualise it on the person you are doing it against and NEVER on yourself.

There is no one-size-fits-all, instead, it comes down to intent and focus. The feeling is important as well. Seeing is more advanced, usually.

Can I use my aura as a source of energy, or should I use a golden energy ball outside of my aura?

Both. It depends on your state of your aura, and what you want to accomplish. Experiment and learn.
The energy raising part can be achieved with any method increasing your bioelectricity, be it a mantra or physical activity such as Yoga asanas. The energy can either be invoked or evoked, like you mentioned it being from you, or outside of you.
The second part is achieved by will. Focus and intent, along with verbal commands are key here.
The above combined with visualization constitutes magick.
