I evoked a demon to ask him something but then I heard some noise and I thought it was my mother which was at home and turned off the candle immediately only to see she was still where she was previously (so I guess the noises were the demon?) and then I turned on the candle again and said sorry but I don't know if he could get angry with me for that. I just was paranoid that my mother interrupted.

If your chakras are open enough, you can hear the movement and presence of those on the astral plane.
The noises can be different if you live in an apartment building, a neighbor on the top floor could step on the floor, and the sound could reverberate into the wall.
Noises and noises do not necessarily indicate someone's presence, but you can always look closely, listen and try to identify the source of the sound.
