I am doing an important spell everyday but, I had to go out of town a day (which I could not cancel ) so missed a day ..So does that mean my spell failed ??I had done the spell continuously for many days before leaving a day out

No day can be skipped. Magic working must be done without interruption.
If you weren't able to complete your working for the minimum of 40 days, you might get some results, but not strong or lasting.
If you're satisfied with any manifestations you created, then good and you can move on. If you haven't achieved what you're looking, then start over from Day 1.
Since you put energy in it for days, it will manifest, but not as strong. It is recommended to start it again in order to achieve the desired result.
