I have a lot of guilt and shame about some awful things I did in the past.

I want to forgive myself and be free of that feeling of "you deserve it".

So, how do I do this, and do I deserve to be free of my past mistakes?

What you did yesterday doesn't define you. If you did something bad, then try to learn from that mistake. What are you doing today, this is what counts. Zevism isn't about self-punishment, but about growing (unlike the christanity).

#3

Try to learn from your past behavior. Learn to be a better person and not make the mistakes of the past. Try to focus on your future as well as your present. Living in the past won't do you any good. Zevism is about growing and learning.

#4

Introspective work, acceptance, and change. In time you will be able to move forward, learning from mistakes.

#5

Make Affirmations such, preferably after waking or right before bed such as “I totally forgive myself for any and all past errors.”

Freeing workings, plus adopting a long-term understanding of our existence and growth, which negates small mistakes. Grow now so you can have the power and wealth to fix your mistakes of the past. If you beat yourself up and never advance, then you won't ever have the opportunity or ability to truly fix things.

All of the spiritual warfare that we do now is unique and extremely helpful to the world. Focus on this as a means of directly contributing back into society.
