Certain colors of candles and incense attract demons and spirits. But how would that be? EX: if I light this candle or incense, then the environment is more open for them to come into contact with me or for me to come into contact with them?

It doesn't attract, but the demon will be more confortable if you use his/her colour, when you summon him/her.
It is based upon the vibration of the colour.

They serve to "favor the meeting".

Gods in certain "environments"/"Circumstances" do not appear. And I can only agree, I would do the same.
