Do Zevists pray with Hymns like Pagans do?

I've noticed there doesn't seem to be a focus on traditional forms of Pagan prayer like for example reciting a Homeric hymn to Apollo whilst burning incense

As a Pagan this has been my morning daily practice, where I offer a sacrifice of incense and recite a short poem of praise to the Gods. Organised based on the day such as Tyr on Tuesday and the Greek Gods who are associated with his archetype. In fact this has been largely what it means to me to be a Pagan. That and learning about the theology and ethics via philosophy like Platonism for example

(I don't mean the Gods aren't real when I say archetype btw, it's just for lack of a better word. They are absolutely real beings)

My question is, do Zevists only do meditation rituals or do they also have a daily practice of praise/worship of the Gods? Or is this maybe something personal that each Zevist is free to add on to the core program of meditation. Or is it even more mystical where the Guardian Daimon of the Zevist will guide them to the forms of worship most appropriate for them?

p.s. I do love what I see of Zevism so far. I find it extremely compatible with Platonism which is why I gravitated to it so quickly even though I've only encountered it about a week ago and haven't even had the time to do my initiation ritual yet (I'm in the process of gathering the candles etc)

It can be personal. You can have an altar, write poetry to the Gods, have invocations, meditate on the Sigils or other forms of prayer and praise that suit you.

I am sure many do, but it is not something you have to do. Much of this is a personal preference, and there are many ways to connect with Gods. We are a global community, after all.

Some have a pagan alter with candles and incense and pray to their respective deity.

I have candles, but haven't used them for a while, but I burn incense sometimes.
We don't use the word "sacrifice" here because it smacks of the Abrahamic practises.

The power rituals in Temple of Zeus is a core method, but these can be also done with lighting an insense prior.

Sigil meditation and prayer afterwards is also welcome, as well as writing letters to the Gods and praying/meditating afterwards upon reading your letter. Of course, lightning an incense can help with the above practices.

We do suggest anyone to pray and communicate with the Gods as often as they can to strengthen one's bond and connection. Reciting a Homeric hymn: definitely done on a personal basis and of course beneficial here.

I do recall HP Pythia mentioning in a sermon a long time ago- please don't ask me which one I can't recall the title- That she would do a prayer to Father Zeus (called Satan at that time) before she would embark on any magick..I'm really fuzzy on details But I know she did encourage prayer to the gods to help stregenth the bond. Idk if she mentions incense or not but it's a nice thing to do if your able to- if not incense then a candle is good too. After a while of most people form some kind of comfort ritual to help get themselves into the right headspace. You may find your routine changing overtime as you learn new things please make sure to embrace this change as it happens to us all and is a perfectly natural thing. Plus as always make sure to have fun with your ritual cause that's a big part of things too!

Many dedicated Zevists have altars, a dedicated space for prayer, usually with incense and candles. I can't have incense because I have mild allergy to dust type of things so it is pretty much personal.

Hymns and singing, and other forms of art, certainly have a place. It is necessary for most people to ''sublime'' Neptune in this way, as it is explained here:

I remember reading a member's testimony about how a God ritual got him singing the runes and names. I don't remember where, so I can't link it unfortunately.

Gods are certainly real and they make it known when you respectfully inquire.

Daily meditation should be seen as a Hymm to the Gods.

We have Ritual Schedules on going almost every day, hosted by our Clergy, or some of our Supreme Guardians. When a schedule is on going, it is announced in by the Clergy which Rituals and for which Gods we are doing them. We are concluding a schedule today, and soon there will be more.

You will find when you practice this path, true connection and worship is very different from what you might have learned in the past, and nowhere there are ways as powerful and as direct as what you will receive by the Spiritual Path of Zevism here.

Besides those things, the practice of speaking to the Gods, or making prayers in other forms, are very good. Ultimately, you can personalize your worship, so long as it fits the ethics of the Gods. Many Zevists make personalized Altars, use incense, candles, make prayers to the Gods that are self written and personalized, these help set the right mood and help one feel immersed in the practice of Zevism and worship of the Gods.

The orphic Hymms are quite nice as odes to the Gods, and can help one set the mood for meditation and rituals, but they wouldn't be considered as true prayer in the Zevist sense.

Welcome. It's very wide approach in Zevism yet it is basic things which ensures one is growing fully.

Daily routine consists of.

Daily routines has cleaning of aura and chakras this is like going to shower and washing oneself, just this is rather one does this for their inside.

Aura of Protection: one protects themselves from what they have cleaned. This built daily becomes stronger and stronger one becomes immune to negativity and etc.

Void meditation after every practice of above(at the end of meditating program) one stays and does void meditation to establish control over the mind in raised energies(main advancement, gaining control in higher levels of power) as above practices alone raises your frequency.

Void meditation is also basis for all other meditations which will be done in the future advanced ones for which good control over thoughts and emotions established is needed, this is like one raises voltage and has to be able to live with more power. Climbing stairs step by step every day.

Dot meditation. You can find what it does and why it is quintessential in ToZ awareness meditations Section.

Hatha yoga(Kundalini optional)- ones body is flexible and energy is able to flow freely without being stuck when one builds their power closer towards Godhood.

Exercising. One builds Strong and stable body aside by spiritual practices to be able to handle higher and higher voltage and even interact with energies of the Gods without starting shaking or seizuring. This way one can push limits in meditations and advance breaking walls in mind and etc while being able to handle. Strong body - strong Soul can reside.

Minimum one Power God Ritual, per week for one to become more receptive and open up to grace of Gods and to their help and blessings.

Now we are doing group rituals in live Temple together and is a last day of schedule of a ritual God Dagan. Clergy announce dates of schedule when we do rituals together in group for maximum power and reap most benefits. Join chat.vultem.com group rituals we do daily until schedule is finished.

1 thing per day for Gods at least. This includes outreach, promoting anonymously ToZ to the outsiders and is pleasing Gods. This is actually best offering one can do. But you will find more ways. Which may be more appropriate for you.

Welcome!

Yes, your relationship with the Gods is personal, but prayer is encouraged to open the mind and soul to the Gods and invite their presence in your life. You are free to engage in formalities or cultural traditions as you see fit, but they are not strictly necessary, although they can be helpful and fulfilling. As long as what you do is clean, lawful and ethical, and not blasphemous (eg. circles around sigils, or blood sacrifices) then you should be fine.

Your relationship with your Guardian Daimon is a very mystical experience, they can communicate via "coincidences", synchronicities and omens. They can communicate in very personal ways. The clergy has written sermons on this topic, and we also have articles on the website. I recommend searching for posts by HP Zevios Metathronos, HPS Pythia and HPS Lydia.

No it's not my real name but that does bring up an interesting question, how do curses work? Surely someone couldn't curse me if they knew only my first name? And how would one go about first knowing they had been cursed and secondly removing the curse?

I will try to join the live rituals but I live in the southern hemisphere so idk if I'll be awake for them

Every Zevist should daily clean their Aura (Aura Cleaning, or AC) and build an protective Aura (Aura of Protection, or AoP) around you. There are potent ways of doing this, just use the link I posted. If you put in the work, in time, you will be protected against curses and malefic energies around you. Takes approx. 15 minutes of your daily time, but the benefits are enormous.

If a person doesn't clean the Aura nor do AoP, unpleasant things tend to happen in their life as a natural consequence.

When I was a beginner, being hit with a curse and/or malefic energies usually manifested as bad mood/restlessness, poor sleep, and things not going my way.

All of this could be scientifically explained, but the science has deliberately been held back for millennia.

1. A beginner can't really tell they have been cursed unless the curse is severe, in which case your life would be in shambles. A beginner would, also, likely not get severely cursed, unless you have powerful enemies or are a massive contributor to the ToZ while also being negligent about protection and not Dedicated (basically impossible).

2. Curses are, at the end of the day, just like any other magickal working. You raise energy, program it and direct it. In the case of a curse, you raise destructive energies and direct them into the target. There are many techniques, mantras and so on, but that is the mechanical understanding of it.

3. As Apprentice has said above, there are simple methods to deal with curses.

Spiritual Cleaning removes curses, as well as many other issues like malignant karma.
Creating and strengthening an Aura of Protection makes one more resistant to curses over time, as well as general negativity in one's life.
Returning Curses Part 1 and 2 (on our site's meditation section) is a more direct tool against curses, and good to do once in a while.
If you believe someone in particular is cursing you continuously, there are Gods one can contact in Ritual to help with this.
Lord Balaam (Deified human from the Levant) is a Daimon that is especially helpful in dealing with any yehuborim bothering you. Lord Alastor (a Daemon mentioned in the Goetia, whom the Greeks were helped by under the name of Zeus Alastoras) also helps many members deal with enemies. If there are such problems for a beginner, one could also contact Lord Lucifius Focalor (deified mortal from another world), as He is very helpful to newcomers.

Many people have their own dross and negativity and assume it is a curse, so I wouldn't be too worried as a newcomer.
