I am a Leo but do not feel like one is this uncommon?
Discussion
It is very normal. You "being Leo" means that your natal Sun is in Leo sign, but it is not enough to draw conclusions about yourself. The ascendant, for example, is another important factor to take in consideration.
Each planet describes different aspects of yourself, so you need to analyze and comprehend their position in the signs, in the houses and how they interact with each other (aspects).
Hello! It's not uncommon. You can begin to learn more about how the entire astrological natal chart (do not share these details with others online) should be considered for deeper analysis of oneself: Apollo's AstrologyExternal ↗.
Forgive my ignorance but why do the details need to be kept secret?

Knowing your birth chart means knowing everything about yourself, including your weaknesses, your vulnerabilities, and your strengths. Enemies can curse you and hurt you very easily.

As Sister Tethys has stated, someone can learn your vulnerabilities, including the times you are undergoing malefic planetary transits which could be used to form targeted curses.
Another thing to mention is that not only you the enemies can target, but also loved ones can be affected indirectly. When you start to read a birth chart, a lot can be assumed, like what kind of relationship you have with your mother, with your father, friends, partner, children. How is your workplace, your financial status, anything can be used against you. And not only the present is read, but the past and the future. People go around posting everything about their lives in social media, forgetting that others with ill intentions can see it too.
Astrology is very important, it was used (and it is still today) by kings, people with a lot of influence and power. Even nations have their own chart, some are known to have wrong time or day of foundation registered (for some reason, guess why). Through transits and other types of predictions, we can see countries having problems with war, economic crisis, and other things. If reading a birth chart of a country we can see that, imagine what can be read in a person's chart.
Your day and time of birth (and birth place) is like your signature, your id number, your fingerprint. For example, no one sane goes around posting a picture of their own credit card in the internet, because someone out there will definitely use (and abuse) it. Even if you don't consider yourself 'important enough' to some enemy to mess with you, for safety reasons it is best to keep it safe.
