Temple of Zeus — The Assembly of the Gods

Maybe it’s for the best.

I’m loving Lord Poseidon’s ritual, family, and im very much looking forward to the rest of our schedule and eventually rituals for Pazuzu and Furcas immensely so! And Vapula too! Something unfortunate happened last night, and it was an accident, honestly no harm meant. I was banned and took it very hard. Almost had to go to the behavioral health clinic again. But I’m still at home, and maybe the expections and such of my position are too much for me. Maybe there’s a better man for the job. I just wanted to post this here so nobody got the wrong idea, I’m still fully committed to the Zevist path and our Gods and happy to do what I can to feed the flame of Vesta that Temple of Zevs and we children of the Gods may stand forever and together

Brother, what you posted took weight to put down. I want you to hear that clearly. Something like this, written from the place you wrote it from, is not weakness and it is not something to apologize for.

HP Zevios Metathronos has spoken to this exact situation before, more than once, in his words on the Leaving thread. He put it plain to brothers in your position: nobody has changed their opinion of you, you have always been a most loved person, and the guilt creates a false sense of unworthiness. He told another brother the same thing in the same thread: stop the self-erosion, the mistake loses all its power once you stop feeding it, and your position here is secured. In another reply in that same thread he named it straight: nobody is going into any Hell, you are the same valuable and strong man you were before, minus you did some mistakes, and admitting the mistake is strength, not weakness. His advice in these moments has always been the same: don't isolate, don't vanish, let the people who care about you hold you up. He made that point to another brother directly: here people are in fact rushing in to protect you and show the value of your life. And in yet another reply he named the spiritual half of it: The Gods have forgiven you, there is no problem with them, and the only work left is forgiving yourself.

One accidental incident does not erase who you are, what you have built, or the work you have already done for the Gods and the community. You are the same man you were before it happened, minus one mistake, and the mistake is trying to absorb you. It only absorbs you if you let it.

On the question of stepping down, I want to be straight with you because the Clergy has been straight on this same question for years. HP Zevios has said plainly in this post that if a role is not being met, it is better for the person to leave it, because the emptiness of an unmet obligation becomes its own weight, and that letting go can help, absolve, and in the long term improve things for everyone, including the person stepping away. He has also said the opposite thing in other words, that stepping away because of one hard moment is not the right read of the situation. Both of these can be true at the same time, and that is the heart of the teaching. The decision is yours, and yours alone, and there is no failing either way. You are not disqualifying yourself by asking the question. You are weighing it honestly, which is what a real man on this path does.

Whatever you decide about the position, the commitment you wrote out in your post stands on its own. The Gods do not turn their backs on people when there is hardship, that is direct Clergy teaching, and the request you made about feeding the flame of Vesta so that Temple of Zevs and the children of the Gods may stand together is a real and weighty devotional act. If you want to tend that flame in a structured way, the Brigid / Hestia / Vesta [Haures] Power RitualExternal ↗ on tozrituals.org is the page that matches what you named. Brigid, Hestia, and Vesta are the hearth-flame Goddesses of the Celtic, Greek, and Roman traditions, the keepers of the sacred fire that does not go out. Do it as written, in whatever schedule fits your day, and let it be what you said it should be, a quiet steady act of tending, not a performance.

One more thing, because I do not want to glide past it. The fact that you almost ended up in a behavioral health clinic is real, and HP Zevios has been clear in multiple places, including here and here, that meditation and spiritual practice are not a substitute for proper professional support when someone is in that territory. If your therapist or doctor is already part of your life, keep them there. Going to them is not a step away from the path, it is part of taking care of the soul the Gods gave you.

You came here and told the community the truth instead of disappearing. That is what a man who belongs does. Now take your own advice, accept the help that is being offered back to you, and let the next few days be quieter than the last few.

Hello, Brother Philodikaios!

I am glad you're enjoying the Ritual Schedule and staying close to the Gods 💚 Mistakes happen so we can take the time to learn from them with lots of grace to ourselves and then come back better for the good of everyone involved 🔥✨️

Brother, nothing is lost to you. You're still welcome after a short break. Like NG Astrid said, take this time to self-reflect.

You're a devoted Zevist and community is important to maintain that devotion🙏

Dear brother, I'm sorry for what happened to you, and you have everyone's support here.

What happened doesn't make you any less zevist or change how we feel about you.

I'm sure you'll think long and hard about this, and you'll definitely come back with greater awareness. May the Gods protect you.

Brother, I understand that you are upset, no one hates you for what happened, just please be much more careful next time.

Thank you all for your kind words and support. I was just devastated by the ban even if temporary, and I became awfully symptomatic in reaction to it. I’m recovering though, my voice is hoarse but thankfully it wasn’t as bad as that one time with the full seizure. I’ve done my rituals for the day and all my meditations.

We all have to learn to ignore trolls that comes in VT, you were not the first and you will not be the last. You are as trong Zevist even you think the contrary. Do not take this as a failure but a new way to grow. Don't put too much pressure on yourself. Take the time and energy to heal first, this is the only thing that matters at this moment. You have plenty of time to contribute more in the future, but for this to happen, you need to be in good shape mentally. You have already shown that you were capable of overcoming many hard situation in your life, you can always build on that.

We know, and yourself, that you can do this.

We love you brother.

Thank you Brother Nikolaos my friend. After it happend I poured everything out on the table in prayer to the Gods. Much ugly stuff too, things long buried all purged. I sat the Decorum aside and just layed it all out for them, and I think they appreciate my honesty and are doubling down to help me despite how ugly it all was. Better to get it out and discarded than have it hiding and rotting
