how karma works

Funny ! Not true . There are times things happen to us not because we did same to others  . There are new debts that some intentionally take .But if you had a word of power to ward off assailants and it did not work , it could be Karma .But does one become a lifetime armed robber if in a pass life they were incidentally one and stopped after committing just one robbery ?

I'm going through bad times in life. I just want to understand
so I read something on the internet about karma
and I wonder if this is true...
is karma He has no money is poor ? so in the past he was rich and had a lot of money?
when someone is physically affected 
so he did it to other people ?
When someone of rape and torture ?
the person did it to other people in his previous life ?
when someone is murdered
also sure ?
and when someone is fat as obese
so in the past he was slim but he laughed to the people who was fat

is that right? thank you for your answers...

Karma is the manifestation of the spiritual dross on your soul. Negative energies, suppressed emotions, traumatic events, guilt, unsatisfied needs etc. This is why we clean our souls thoroughly, to remove all of this spiritual dross. Karma doesn't work as you read, that if you harm someone you'll be harmed in the same way in the future or next lifetime. In this case, the guilt you'll feel is what will affect you in one way or another. I have a friend who's mom is afraid of stairs. She once visited a medium and found out that she had died while climbing a flight of stairs in a past lifetime. That's a mild example of how karma works-as the manifestation of negative things on your soul from past experiences that affected you deeply. That's my two cents. Umm..no. Can you prove that claim? Why do we have justice systems if one is naturally treated the way they treat others? Why do we use black magic? Karma is the manifestation of what is on one's soul, not some mystery natural payback. That sounds like Christianity, where there is supposed to be someone watching you permanently to repay you according to your deeds.
