I for one highly recommend the original Halo series by Bungie.
I also recommend the Mass Effect series. Both series have allegories to the begining the humankind and how higher beings were involved in our creation and advancement. In Halo the faction known as The Covenant are led by Yehuboric aliens who have waged a war of Sahiburah against the humans.
In Mass Effect, the galaxy is at war with synthetic machines known as the Reapers who represent the end goal of transhumanism, whos blatant goal is to stop organics from advancing. There's a lot more I could say and I might even make a thread on them and the Zevist themes within.

I love Fullmetal alchemist! I’m due for a rewatch. In my opinion, the original series (2003) is also very good although it deviates from the source material. 🦾

Fullmetal Alchemist is great. I've watched Brotherhood several times and more recently read the manga for the first time. Love Twin Peaks as well, it's time for a rewatch soon.

Goddamn Noragami mentioned here? Most of my friends watched the fuck out of it when it was new and everyone of them said it was really good. I might give that one a try some time.

Amazing! For our younger members, and fans of funny light movies, I recommend ‘The Cat Returns’. It’s a well-made, fluid animation movie from Studio Ghibli that explores that stage of life when we feel out of place and frustrated by certain aspects of our daily routine. It depicts a fun fantasy and also features encounters with kind, somewhat mystical allies who lend a hand in sad situations, offering support as you work to save yourself and discover who you are. I think it’s lovely.
