Greetings. Thank you for sharing your opinion.
I understand why people are tired of AI-generated content at this point. There is a lot of it now, and not all of it has any real artistic value.
But when it comes to my songs, it was not just a matter of pressing a ‘generate’ button. I wrote the lyrics myself, and put personal meaning, feeling, and love into them. Indeed, I used AI to create the music, but I see it as a tool, like a way to bring an idea into musical form when I might not have been able to do so otherwise. For me, it was not a complete delegation of the creative process, but rather a form of curation, like searching for the right sound, atmosphere, and mood, working through different versions, and trying to bring the final result closer to what I had in mind. To me, that very much looks like a ‘creative spark’.
AI is now an accessible and versatile tool for creating many different things. I highly doubt that Zevists who use AI to create music do so thoughtlessly, without any creative impulse, or without a sincere desire to express the beautiful and powerful feelings they have toward other Zevists, the Temple, and the Gods. Of course, music created entirely by human is, in many ways, superior to something generated by AI, that’s not even debatable. But for many people here, AI is perhaps the only available way to express their creative impulses.
You have every right not to accept AI-generated music and to see no value in it. But please do not dismiss or belittle the efforts of people who create these works sincerely, from the heart and soul.
