this sound logical, but why for what result goal, if there didnt complete get the effect they wanted or at all. i cant see how it makes sense

if a russian operative did the same in regards to FSB spying or doing something similar against its own citizens, we would see the same scenario , but inverted...operative going to US and A, and becoming a "hero" here(possibly assassinated later) <
