Hi. I wanted to do the working for 40 days but forgot and did it on the 41st day today. I should have stopped yesterday. What would you advise? Is my only option to keep going until 80 days?

The cycle isnt perfect but the energies have been risen and directed. But why not add more energy since you are already on the roll.
Dont worry about it too much as that itself can and will ruin workings more than finishing something in a perfect manner.
You hit 40 days, anyway. The permanence is there, regardless if you did it for an extra day. In my opinion, you completed a full cycle and can stop, unless you want to go to 80.
