Rituals: about dedication ritual

Hello everyone,

About dedication ritual, it is written on dedication page here on ToZ that one drop of blood must be taken from the finger. What if I took it from my leg instead? I had a little wound, I took it from there. (Or in general what if one takes it from another part of the body)
