Is Void Meditation considered a breathing exercise? Can I only do this in my daily routine without adding compleat yogic breath or something like this? Sine one breath exercise should be done daily, is void meditation already good? Considering I also do yoga everyday
Discussion
Yes, you can practice Void Meditation alone as part of your daily routine without necessarily adding Complete Yogic Breath or another breathing exercise—especially considering that you already practice yoga every day. The key lies in distinguishing between a practice where the primary focus is the breath and a meditative practice that uses the breath as part of the process. If the Void Meditation you perform involves consciously observing, regulating, or modifying your breathing, then it does include a breathing component and can perfectly well serve as part of your daily breathwork. However, that does not necessarily mean it trains the exact same capabilities as a technique like Complete Yogic Breath, the purpose of which is more directly linked to developing deep, expansive, and conscious breathing.
Therefore, there is no general rule stating that you must perform an additional breathing technique every day for your routine to be "complete." Furthermore, if you practice yoga daily, your routine likely already incorporates various forms of coordination between breath, movement, concentration, and body control. Adding more exercises out of obligation could even make the routine unnecessarily long. If your main goal regarding the breath is to maintain a conscious and regular practice, Void Meditation may be sufficient on its own, provided you practice it correctly and find it comfortable.
In other words, a routine consisting of daily yoga plus Void Meditation would be perfectly adequate without adding Complete Yogic Breath. If, at some point, you decide you want to specifically work on diaphragmatic breathing, increase awareness of lung expansion, or practice a particular breathing technique, you could then incorporate Complete Yogic Breath as an additional practice—but you would do so for a specific goal, not because Void Meditation is insufficient on its own.
So, considering you already practice yoga daily, there is no need to pile on breathing techniques simply to satisfy the idea that "one must be done every day." It is more useful to look at the function each practice serves and build your routine around what you truly want to develop. If Void Meditation provides the breathing and meditative work you are looking for, you can keep it as your daily practice without feeling that you are necessarily missing out on another technique.
This is my opinion, based on my own experience.
Furthermore, within the Temple of Zeus, there are many meditative and spiritual practices available for study and engagement. However, we are human and face time constraints, as well as responsibilities, circumstances, and the many other facets of our lives. Therefore, it is not always a matter of trying to practice everything, but rather of discerning where to make progress, what to work on, and the purpose behind doing so. Consulting the Gods on these matters can help establish a clear direction for your practice, rather than attempting to cover everything without knowing where you are heading.
When you have clarity regarding your intention, purpose, and what you truly seek to develop, you begin to better understand how to properly pursue your path. Maintaining an open mind allows the practice itself to reveal what requires attention and the role each teaching plays along the way. It is not simply about doing more, but about better understanding your actions and moving forward with purpose.
Good luck, and may the Gods be with you.
I went on a bit too long in my reply, sorry XD
