Why love ourselves need to be the main character to the things ? Without self love no Kundalini and such.

If you have problems with the concept of ego, work on first three chakra with deep purification. Then workings aimed at balancing your ego. Eventually some working to free your natal Sun (look if it is in bas position) and Saturn, and some Sun squares.
If you don't have a balanced ego, if you don't respect yourself, you don't damage yourself, people that suffer from it are others. We are not pleased in the presence of an overly shy person, or a people pleaser, or someone with bad self-esteem. Quite often people with ego problems are destructive of others.
Plus, you cannot be useful to society in any way, as one must have a balanced ego to work with others in a constructive way.
