Cats are sacred animals in Zevism, so much that the goddess Bastet/Hagenti is the protector of cats and for her they are sacred. Personally I love cats madly and every cat that sees me comes to me to be pampered. I do not think it is actually true that they bring bad luck because they improve my day.

Most of Hinduism is corrupted and wrong. This idea is just nonsense. Cats are very special and spiritually advanced. You should be friendly with all of the cats.

It seems that you haven't fully understood the concept of negativity and negative energy. It is not something that a cat or another animal can transmit to you. On the contrary, through the practice of spiritual cleansing performed near the cat, we could cause negative energy to attach to them. They are much more receptive than they seem and absorb a lot.

What you have found outside of ToZ is a gigantic sea of endless nonsense that you shouldn't pay attention to. If that were the case, I should have an aura full of holes from all the cats I’ve petted in my life.

To add another perspective to this as well, many people have a hard time petting a cat because it takes a special kind of energy for a cat to come up to you in the first place. If anything, it would reflect a positive and healthy aura on your part for them to be doing this.

Pet the kitty. Also, it's been scientifically proven that vibrations caused by cat purrs are beneficial for humans and have some healing power.

People usually dislike them because they're much harder to control than dogs, associated with femininity, and capable of establishing boundaries. As someone who's had plenty of cats, I have only encountered one aloof male that didn't like being touched or pet. The rest were spoiled, affectionate babies.

This is not true at all. Cats are very sacred in Zevism. I want to note that my two daughters who are now teenagers, have had there own cat for the last 9 years, since their cat was born. This bond with there cat runs very deep. They feel better and have a better day after cleaning there cats aura or doing any working on them. It's like they move and then there cat moves. They are literally always by there side, touching or as close to them as possible, this goes both ways. My girls are always better when they are with there cats and this goes both ways as well. There is a special bond that humans have not just with cats but with animals in general.
