If you work on a problem that is in your soul, you can get a resolution of it. If you avoid it and don't work on that problem, you will continue to carry it around and the problems will pile up. Unfortunately I can't be more specific than that, the answer is very short, but you should imagine it as carrying a physical problem around with you all the way. It doesn't go away on its own and often it could get worse over time. At least that was MY OPINION about your doubt...
