As you know, for best results we take accounts of western astrology. We allways got the concept of influence from further influence to the closest one : zodiacal month, day then hour. Let,s say you want something tied to love and use Venus. Minimum you will try is training or do the ritual in venus magical hour for more impact. (it goes also for chakras). If you add up the day also, teh impact is stronger , then add the zodiacal month, even more. Western astrologer will also take account of other things (retrograde,etc..) but I m no expert for that.

Vedic astrology takes also accounts of the division of time but goes further. Depending the goal and our birth , different mantras are used. A different deity name is assigned to a planet, a day or constellation, astrological house. Although it is surprising that a general name of a god correspond to a precise planet and have others names for the rest. We may suppose that there is a different influence from the major name (planet) on each others . Eg. A deity could be about abundance (lakshmi) but there is different types of abundance and each correspond to a planet. Abundance of love (venus) , of money (sun ?), of knowledge (mercury), of raw power (mars), etc… You use therefore the general name or a precise one according to the goal.

IN general, the 12 names of a deity corrrespond to the 12 zodiac, 108 names to the nakshatra (number of nakshatras 27 * 4 padas/ period of time ), there is also a deity for each nakshatra and each lunar day (tithi).
You are doing a ritual for a job (10th house ties) and jupiter at your birthday is in your 10th house, you take a jupiter name (on 108) to vibrate, you may need the permission of the guardian to remove obstacles (ganesha 108 names) to help. The 10 house if is in pisces imply also a deity for the zodiac to vibrate (shiva, vishnu, aditya). Knowing the atardasha lord (eg saturn) you search it in d10 to find the deity. Naturally an expert astrologer will take accounts of other things (aspects, strength, etc…) and come up with more precise mantras.

We may conclude that there is a lot of possibilities if the names are not corrupted and that there is no variant. My idea is that if we train a chakra and wanna make it stronger, it is possible to use the god name assigned to the planet on the chakra . There is a serie that for my part that has no need to be an astrologer : fire.

Fire in many traditions is used to purify and clean. But it is also a messenger to the gods according to hindu myths ussed in offering. That idea seems to be every where. One tradtion of yule is to write down a letter and burn in in the cheminy. The smoke will rise up and bring the message to santa claus. Naturally it could also be just a symbol to get something (make a fire = attention on a spot like microcosmic orbit of mantak chia 1st chakra, we need friction to start it , we breathe on it to make it stronger (fire breath), then the letter is wrote down which is a form of fixing vibration, and put inside 1st chakra… the wish, rise up spine to the sky or crown and result get back down in spine when santa comes in due time …). That are funny coincidences. But In some magic ritual we do burn a letter on a candle whith a goal in mind, we do put an object to clean on top of smoke of fire , pagan priest did burn offerings to the gods (food).

Now what I have found in the site The site Agni: the holy fire | Sri Garuda by Visti Larsen , are 2 tables used in hindu rituals according to planets and a general bija for the fire (not ram)

Table 2: Agni bīja

Sun brūm
Moon drūm
Mars bhrūm
Mercury hrūm
Jupiter stūm
Venus śrūm
Saturn ḍrūm
Rahu prūm

the seven tongues/jihva symbolize the seven weekdays during which the offering are accepted. But solar days correspond also to planets.

Table 1: Saptajihva bīja

Jihva Bija (graha)
hiraṇyā hrum (Sun)
gaganā srum (Moon)
raktā śrum (Mars)
kṛṣṇā vrum (Mercury)
suprabhā lrum (Jupiter)
bahurūpā rum (Venus)
atiraktā yrum (Saturn)

Cosmic insgith use also these bijas but according to teh planet of the zodiacal month.

eg. Leo (vedic one) = sun = brūm

It has to be noted that the general bija of agni is hrūm apart the one we know as ram and that it is also used for mercury

ideas of practice came up to me.

1) General clean up of aura

  • I use the general bija of fire hrUm,
visualize the fire burning and grey smoke expelled until they are white (for me it implies being clean).
Once clean I use the tongue bija, then do programmation of the aura

2) General clean up of aura
  • Use bijas of the day to clean
Or use the bija of the hour
Or combine zodiacal month + day + general bija of agni
Or zodical + day + hour bija + general one
Once clean use the tongue bija ,then do programmation of he aura

3) Apply them to each chakras.
  • purify chakra => 1st = ḍrūm.
use the tongue to help send the message/goal. => 1st = yrum (Saturn)
use the message in this case the bija to empower it ,making it with spinning brighter => 1st =
    laum/lam

The number of repetition is up to you

I remark that more you combine the bijas stronger is the feeling of heat. I prefer blue fire instead of the color of the chakra For the cleaning. Remember that fire allways move in size and directions.

The order could also be changed. Once pure, empower the chakra, program it then fix it with the tongue bija. The concept here is that you want something to offer to the god (your chakra or yourself) . either You offer just purification either it is something else (increase energy, make it stronger to use an element, corresponding power, etc…). I have try both and I do prefer that one.

EG : hour is saturn, I train saturn chakra
I clean it first : vibrate ḍrūm
I say My 1st chakra and all its extension are all cleaned and purified by agni fire.
Since my goal is Empower it, I make it (brighter, spin faster as I vibrate laum or lam)
I say My 1st chakra and all its extension are now empowered.
Fix or guard it : vibrate yrum
I say the empowerement of My 1st chakra and all its extension are now fuly
Protected/ fixed by agni fire.

ANALYSIS hrUm

Why bija agni is hrUm ? (long u)
Well according to vedanet, hum is the power of fire. In theory Adding R give more solar or active power. Frawley told about the diffrence between r and l for the impact in a bija. By memory we have also spoken about it in the forum.
The scriptures teach to add the bīja’s hūm and rām together to form one bija, namely hrūm (bodhana or causing to awake/have knowledge).

Still analyst take also account of the value of each letter therefore ha + ra + U + m.

concept fire bijas planets

You will remark that it is always :
- Consonant + rum or rUm

R - u/U-m can be explained as followed.

R (ra /ram is bija of fire and its associations), r = fire and drive within us,

U ( long vowel open up and short guard, U for shivaite associate to namashivaya is vowel of fire , U for westerners was always associated with 3rd chakra .. but as always there is variant I = fire (pillar of fire) while U is earth (it deos look like a vase) and that is if you apply the order of hindu element creation at the order of sanskrit alphabet.

This concept is probably corrupted since it follows new age thinking. Eg they will place planets on chakras in the order of speed. We see hindu also order creation to assigne elements to chakras, and 7 main chakras have the number petals assigned to place the sanskrit alphabet. It is a curious coincidence that we are built like that. As someone said, it is probably jsut for training (nyasa)

Also, The sound ‘ū’ acts as a guard or protector. It is highly suppressive and can be a violent sound when used with other sounds
Śiva is represented by ‘u’ as ‘ū’ protects one.
, ū = expansion of power and excellence

M (bindu) as said once is used to manifest the forces assembled. Without m a bija is considered useless. I do like the latin image m as a fontain.

I wonder if that principle goes with anything. Just add rum or rUm to a consonant. And fire will be in it.

But something is curious . For the crown (jupiter) you will remark that they use stūm instead of strUm. Chances are adding R bring too mutch power there. Il did felt the crown longer than usual and headache with strUm. So, either it is the reason or the bija is corrupted or passed down incorrectly ..

You will also remark that they talk only about rahu, not ketu . Since the are lunar nodes, and myth make them responsable of solar (rahu) and lunar (ketu) eclipes, they may be tied to the knots ( hips or shoulder or temples) . Rahu being akin to saturn, chances are that it correspond to the hips. Since rahu and ketu are opposite astrologically, ketu may be the temples. Rahu is the head, ketu the tail of the snake. Since kundalini face is downward in untrained people, I tend that supposition could be interessant to check. Brahma, Citragupta,, ganesha are ruler of of ketu, in he serie br is used so g-rUm or c-rUm may be the bija missing (note c is pronounced ch in sanskrit you will find chitragupta on internet) . Funny , we do use bija gam for pineal gland.

I cannot make a table so this a list of coincidences or trail of why the consonant were chosen

stūm => If we add R as the others case we have strUm, strIm is hindu tara bija, tara said to be connected to jupiter
lrum => Lam is bija of indra, jupiter

drūm => D of durga. Depending its phase the moon is durga, kali or lakshmi (althought she is normally venus for astrology). I understand that durga goes from no moon (1st moon day) to 10th. Lakshmi 10 to 20th, kali 20 to 1 Makes me wonder if the 3 names could be used in their due time but if it was the case, we would the variant have k-ruum or l-ruum
Srum => S of soma is one name of the hindu moon god. But if the idea is a correspnding bija, by memory sam is also the bija of higher air and yam is considered the one of lower air. I am sure to have seen it on manblunder but I have failed to find the page.

śrūm => Sh of shukra is one of the name of hindu planet venus.
rum => No idea why put it here, ram is fire but they are ties between love (sex) and fire (kundalini). It should
have been by principle r-rum .

hrūm => For us and some text according to man blunder site. Heart chakra is akasha. Ham is its bija
vrum => V of vishnu, day to venerate vishnu is wenesday , he is a god of mercury

bhrūm => The word "Bhairava" in Sanskrit consists of four letters, each of those has a deep meaning:
भ (bha) – means "light" and sun gives light. I have failed to find the source of that information. It is
not in spoken sanscrit
hrum => In square sun h is use, probably due to ties of the spirual heart hridaya or hrit chakra to sun .

brūm => ??? no idea
śrum => In theory Aphrodite pacify Ares, so may be we just don’t want be too agressive. .

prUm => Rahu have durga, pitris sarpa as ruling deities. Letter d is already used. May be it is p for pitris. Still
some say it has strong ties to saturn, saturn square use P for prajapati (brahma = saturn)

ḍrūm => The sound ‘ḍa’ is Rudra and indicates a noise or echo or a roar of an animal,
Many text link prajapati (lord of animals) with 1st chakra. Coul be the reason.
ḍurga ? Internet seems also to put durga name with a dot The word ‘Durga’ stands for a daitya
(giants, race of asuras or demons) who was a great obstruction representing worldly
bondage, karmas, sorrows, hells, yama’s rod . Looks like aspects of saturn.
yrum => Y of yama, god of hell (1st chakra)

Finally , As you know they are specific deity Bija, they also tend to take the first consonants and add Im and they are also name bija based on the fisrt syllable. A bija can also be used for more than one thing

- Name bija => Im for god indra, gam for ganesha
- Deity bija => lam for god indra but it is also bija of earth element
- Combo bija => trIm for godess t-ara, krIm for goddess k-ali, shrIm for lakshmi (lakshmi = astrological venus named
also sh-ukra)

Therefore it must be the intent that make the difference as in magic. MAke sure you have the correct bija , Some site use the way they are heard in french or english. This is why some mantrs seems corrupted because we do not have the good scrypt.

Eg. shreem or shrim is in fact depending if you use iast or harvard-kyoto script Śrīṃ or zrIM

Just a comment, is you read the site, some part of the agni puruna as said could be corrupted particularly when they comment on ku :
‘k’ itself represents the physical creation and is termed the brahmākṣara. Appropriately, being the first consonant, it is the first to represent a sound with a solid body. Either of the five main vowels, in their long or short forms, following the consonant decides the action performed upon the solid body, e.g. ‘a’ is creative, ‘i’ sustains, ‘u’ is suppressive, ‘e’ informs and ‘o’ digests/understands. When ‘k’ and ‘u’ join, they suppress (u) the created body (k) thus making it deformed or ugly, and this is thus despised or reviled according to the Purāṇa.

Soooo coincidential that kum is the name bija of the goddess kundalini.

Hope the article wasn’t too long.

Merry yule in advance
