The word „jewel“ and its origin?

I tried looking for a post here but couldnt find one regarding this. I think the biggest sign that jews control the world is the fact that they even named the jewel after them before it was „jouel“ in Old French but the jews adapted it and changed it to „jewel“ this alone indicates that they control the world but a normal person or expert will say its just a coincidence … I mean judging by the fact that jews were and are known to be jewelers and the fact its called jewel is just so self explanatory but yet it is still seen as a coincidence when you bring things like this up.

It is a very common thing for words to change their spelling in different places and different times.

I think this is backwards, but I agree there is probably a connection. I think they named themselves after jewels, just like they very frequently name themselves after money. Gold, Silver, Ruby, Green, and other forms of money or jewels are very frequently part of their names.

IDK which etymology was the original, but yes, I thought about this correlation as well. You are probably right.
