This is another thing. I would like to respond to just the first part of your message and quote just that part. But it looks like there is no way to edit what I am quoting. There is no [ quote] and [ /quote] text shown for me to move or edit to change what is quoted.

There is a quote ('')button in the menu in the middle, you click on it, copy and paste the part you want to quote, then click enter so you can start to type your reply.

AMAZING! I like the new style very much, it's organized and very pretty. I like the modernity, the colors...
I'm proud and happy to see the evolution of JoS every year. This is another step forward for all of us!

Hiding the multilingual section of forums on the index page disappears other subforums down below them. The same effect does not happen when hiding others below it, though.
 
No links from before work anymore, I can't cross-reference with existing messages so replies where people sent existing sermons etc. like for example in Ask-Satan, the sermons I referenced before won't work, for example:
https://ancient-forums.com/index.ph...me-despite-me-being-a-girl.90715/#post-467672
even though the main site name remained the same.

Also I can't search my Ask-Satan replies I had to look this up in wayback machine.

Wow the search function seems to be working much better as well, its a lot easier to find what im looking for great job!

I'm really positively surprised! The new Forums are great and they look modern, just like the new versions of the other JoS sites. There are so many new features, like personal messages, an easier way to insert images and links, personal profile notes, and so much more!

I want to thank everyone involved in this project.

Whether they attack us or not, we will always come out on top and better. Thank you for your concern. After things are settled a bit I will get to answering e-mails and getting back to normal with everything.

You can click on "Toggle BB code" and it will use the previous syntax.

I just noticed the same problem when trying to access topics through the links set up by JoS Projects platform. I truly hope that this gets resolved, otherwise, we need to rework every single pdf.

Every user can also now petition to change their name, directly from the platform [a feature to not be used more than 2 times total]. When approved, this will be done.

We want to move more into the community aspect here, with everyone having a more vivid presence here.

Your personal space and preferences matter a lot, that's why we want this reflected in the platform.

More abilities and conveniences for each member as well, compared to before, will make forums more pleasant to be in, easier to use etc.

Without violating the character of the forums which are for learning, the stronger community element such as the ability to selectively send messages etc, is also very helpful.

I like a lot the idea of everybody having their personal space where they can post their own thoughts but its important to not forget that we should not upload personal information.

Greetings, all will be fixed very soon, and I am aware of it.
 
Few more ideas and problems/bugs noticed:

DATE OF DEDICATION: it says for a lot of people that they are joined in 2017, or whatever 2023,.. but in reality an SS for a decade. So I think this functionality would be good, it's also not that importantly personal information. So it would say something like "SS since: ---"

Rename alerts: I think Notifications was way better. As I remember few other things was also renamed, I'm not sure but I like the older ones.

Flaws in the design: There is a "What's new" button which you can reach "New posts" with, but directly under this, there is also a "New posts" button. So this is kinda weird.
Also this line where it says "New posts, Find threads,.." is kinda confusing because it changes depending where you are. It should be less confusing.

The "Home" and the "Forums" button does the same, only one of them would be needed? Or maybe there is a future plan for this "home" page? Anyways, now they are just duplicants.
I think"Your news feed" is very much useless.

In the New posts page, the ones that you have haven't read yet or has something new, it should be outlined like in the previous forums.

When you put your mouse on your profile picture or the theme changing thing at the top right, the black box that appears does not reach the bottom of the line that they are on, but for the others, it reaches it.

On the main page, there is a section at right with statistic and stuff. You can only scroll down there if you have scrolled down on the main page to the bottom. It would be better if they could be scrolled independently to each other. Yeah I know it looks kinda nice like this but isn't functional.


"Forum Statistic" should be merged with "members online".

Lates News: It's jumping every second, as it's trying to jump to the other news, but there is no other news, bit annoying. Also, There could be a 'NEWS PROJECT", and important news would be desplayed here. Like an actual world wide news.

I know some adv members are having some difficulties, and those will be resolved I'm sure, but I have to reiterate how  FUN this new forum is. I already feel way more "involved" if that makes sense.

Share: Facebook, X, reddid, pinterest, whatsapp etc function should be disabled. It's right under a new post under attach files button.

I see much security/privacy risk for new people.

The new forums are amazing and incredibly responsive.

GREATEST thanks to everyone who worked on it.

I believe in the coming days/weeks there'll be alot of questions and feedback which is to be expected. But will be timely handled by the staff.

Concerns aside. No issue would ever go unsolved or unresolved. So let's celebrate the good.
 
Another thing that i noticed that at start was not very sure if it would be very useful but in very short time prove to myself wrong is reacting (liking) messages.

For example HPHC likes a msg i can have an idea that in some sense the information in there could be useful, as well with the other reactions, this is great and i share the idea that the website becoming in part a social media, it would help us to communicate way more better, thank you so much for this update, ITS AMAZING.
 
I did not like it at first, but now I think this is a fantastic upgrade over the old forum. It is so much better in almost every way since it's been modernized. It will just take some getting used to the new interface.

I think there might be a bug with people who were previously off mod in the old forums as it now says my posts in the other regular forums need approval
