Fox News runs altered images of Seattle protests
As per the Seattle Times, Fox News published digitally-altered and misleading images on its website on Friday which made a demonstration in Seattle appear to be violent. The network has taken down the images since. Among the photos, one which showed a protester running past a burning vehicle was from unrest in Minnesota last month. Another added an image digitally of a man armed with an assault rifle.

Fox News' depiction of the demonstration mirrors much of right-wing media's attempt to portray it as menacing. Protesters have declared a small slice of Seattle an "autonomous zone" after clashes with authorities led police to evacuate a precinct. While there have been some sightings of armed individuals, the area has remained largely peaceful with people gathering for food, speeches, and movie screenings.
