Hello Brothers & Sisters
So I possibly may have a slipped disc in my lower back which is completely my fault, should I avoid hatha yoga or just certain poses because I really don’t want to stop doing it at all but if it means for my back to get better then I will

Definitely you to the doctor and get checked!
Possibly by multiple doctors as well.

Ask them if it is okay for you to hit the gym, so build some muscle, often with problems of the back, it is because of a lack of muscle and poor posture.

You should also re-evaluate whether or not you have been doing yoga correctly.

In any case, do not do yoga if your health doesn’t allow this!

I had a herniated disc and my doctor told me to not move in certain manners. She was soooo WRONG.

You must carefully and slowly strengthen the muscles surrounding the affected area, specifically, your core, lower back, hamstrings, hips, and thighs. Don't push it too hard, be gentle, know your limits in this area. If you are a member of a gym, see if they have a reverse hyperextension machine. Nevertheless, bodyweight exercises are more ideal for your situation.

Look up exercises that do spinal decompression. Look up if you have an anterior pelvic tilt as well, as this is a secondary symptom that can occur. Jewgle "functional range conditioning"

Don't get injections or surgery. Avoid inflammatory substances or your lower back will flare up..

In Conclusion:

I would say don't stop your hatha routine unless a specific exercise gives you extreme sharp pain. Normal pain from exercise is ok, but if it really f*cking hurts, then stop.

chiro is a great passive therapeutic (someone doing work on you) i also recommend pairing it with active therapeutics (you doing work on yourself) for even more effectiveness
