Personally, I am most concerned with being legible to my audience. I am not as concerned with what is technically proper, but rather with how well I can convey my thoughts to others. Oftentimes these two objectives overlap, but not always.

This also expands beyond just proper grammar into organizing the entire text. Although this does take extra time (and most are generally tired after the initial writing), without this organization there is the risk entire chunks of the text could be overlooked.

That is why I first started using ---------------- to break up paragraphs into separate groups, then going further and labeling each group. Additionally, underlining or bolding areas of importance, and so on. Even if this is done almost at random, the simple act of breaking up a long text in any manner is enough to improve its readability.

This can be a problem with long scientific articles, especially when variables and data are involved. I feel like massive chunks of text are antiquated. There needs to be a way to easily use diagrams or images to convey more complex thoughts.

I was mostly joking. I like the way Mancy talks. A lot of times it is like riddles but that makes it fun.

What I was really thinking but I didn't say is that whenever I watch videos of people in England, it seems like most of what they say are just repeating the same phrases or idioms all the time. And I guess all of them are using the same phrases as each other, and it seemed like there was very little said by them that isn't one of these shared phrases. It gives me the feeling that these same phrases or metaphors have been used by their people every day for hundreds of years and they all keep the tradition of saying the same thing. And for somebody who is not used to it, it kind of looks like talking in riddles.

America has never had this shared culture or shared tradition of language, so we don't often use the same phrases/idioms/metaphors as each other. People from all different parts of America may have some common phrases that are used in their own small area, but nothing that is real widely shared. So it seems to me like Americans all speak in ways that are much more independent and unique from each other and are also seeming more direct. I am not going to repeat some popular metaphor that is vaguely hinting to the idea I am thinking, and instead I am just going to directly say my idea. And this way of speaking much more directly is what seems easier to understand for me. And I think the riddles are more complicated.

I am not saying that either way is good or bad, and I am not saying that Mancy only talks by metaphors. I'm just saying that I have noticed this difference many times and it's interesting to think about.
