How to DELETE a post?

Post by SouthernWhiteGentile »

How can I delete a post I’ve made, or is it only the mods that can do this? There are embarrassing and also many pointless posts I would to delete thanks.

Members can't delete posts, it creates too much confusion when people quote or say things and then people go off on tangents or discussions and then there's just a bunch of missing information and knowledge because they delete stuff they said.

You can probably discuss it with a mod if it means so much to you, but there of course should be good enough reason for it. I've said a lot of embarrassing things in the past myself still on this forum, don't care much for them now, seeing those posts just reminds me I'm better than how I used to be and hat I've made progress with myself.

It would probably be more spiritually and personally beneficial to work through and rid yourself of the feelings of shame and embarrassment and deem yourself separate from it than to try and run away from them. At least... that's just my opinion.

Welcome to the squad lol. I say just body it dude no one cares really. Unless there's a noticeable implicit reason for it or its just doggedly explicit and vulgar unnecessarily. Otherwise it shouldn't matter, if you just report the posts and give the reason that you wanted them taken down the HP's will get around to it.

If it’s just because they are embarrassing I would personally just learn to live past it and accept it. If this were a public place we all talked, we wouldn’t be able to take back the words we’ve said once we’ve said them. It’s good to learn from if you really can’t get anything else out of it. And I get it, I have perfectionist tendencies, so I hate how I’m represented to be anywhere out of place. But it’s just pointless overthinking. Don’t obsess over it and let your new posts show the differences.

Most people aren’t going to obsessively look through your history anyway. I mean, this does ironically increase the chances though... but I doubt it’ll be used against you ever. And if it is, you can be honest and say you regret those posts. That’s just part of growth.
