The source is from George Orwell's dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, published in 1949. Orwell himself, a self-avowed democratic socialist, feared that socialism in his native Britain would turn into a totalitarian society governed by an ideology resembling that of Ingsoc. The truth of the matter is that in real life its not just for Britain rather for the entire world.
