I would like to put a protective aura around the people I care, with the serious the situation is should I start ASAP? or wait for an appropiate astrological date?

I'd start either today (Saggitarius) or Wednesday (Aquarius), and then keep it going until the 6th March. This will already build some initial protection even though the date is suboptimal. Then finish it on March 6 and begin a full working on March 8 with Moon in Virgo, which is great for health and staying healthy, as well as services to others (which I assume also includes giving others protection).
If you go with this date, I would recommend an affirmation centered around protecting their health specifically, rather than a general AoP.
