Savitar you mentioned the Doshas, which are body types. I googled it but I generally don't trust such subjects the way they are treated (because of the new age/normie mindset etc).
You mentioned the Vata Dosha being the skinny-nervous one, ruled by Mercury and Saturn in its essence.
Then there are Pitta and Kapha.
Can you describe the other ones?
Do you know if it's also possibile to switch from one to another? And how?

Re: Doshas
Click my link there is a book to download called Ayurvedic Astrology - Self-healing Through the Stars by David Frawley. This does a great job teaching what the doshas affect and how to control them.

Re: Doshas
The Doshas are the 3 main categories of energies that operate behind the our biological processes and serves as a medium between subtle and gross energies.Thunder wrote:Savitar you mentioned the Doshas, which are body types. You mentioned the Vata Dosha being the skinny-nervous one, ruled by Mercury and Saturn in its essence.
Then there are Pitta and Kapha.
Can you describe the other ones?

Each one of the doshas reflects a subtle, primal energy on a grosser level (Think about the three aspect of A-U-M or the tripartite Godhead)
Vata is the reflection of Universal Pranic energy and has the same function on a biological level as Prana (think about how your nervous activity governs every bodily function.)
Pitta is the reflection of Universal Fire or Tejas, the heat and light necessary for growth, evolution and transformation. Think about how your digestive Fire transforms the consumed food into energy.
Kapha is the reflection of Universal Lunar/Water that heals, soothes and builds you up, creating a reserve of energy. Hormones, Bodily fluids and fat is all Kapha.
However there is a significatn difference between the subtle pranic, fire and watery forces and the doshas:
The Doshas are the negative factors or biological byproducts of these subtle energies: Having Prana in great abundance in itself has only positive effects, however it leads creates an overabundance of Vata, which -if out of balance becomes the source and foundation of all kinds of sickness and diseases relating to the tissues, body parts and functions ruled by Vata/Prana.
Imagine having so much Prana that your nervous system can't handle it - You will become ungrounded, anxious, dried out, disorganized etc.
This disorder in the nervous activity leads to poor digestion, which means the Colon (the main organ ruoed by Vata) becomes filled with Gas (the bio-product of Vata) which blocks the absorption of nutrition and energies, and also blocks eleminative processes. (Problems with elimination is an Ailment ruled by Saturn, a Vata planet) Colon problems willl eventually lead to problem with bones, joints and nerves in the long run (the tissues ruled by Vata. The Bones And Joints are ruled by Saturn while the nerves by Mercury, two Vata planets again)
This is how planets and subtle energies connect into our bodily functions, how a negative planetary influence manifests into a health problem - through the doshas.
Each Dosha is composed of two elemnts: The main or primal element determines It's quality while the secondary element represents It's field of activity.
The main element of Vata is Air, while It's secondary element is Aether: Vata functions like the element of Air inside the void (space/ether) of your nerves, bones etc)
The doshas also have 3 fundamental characteritics relating to their "weight" or mobility "dryness" and "temperature"
Vata is Light/Mobile, Dry and Cold. (Se how it reflects wind/air)
Undertstanding how these qualities relate to the doshas and ailments ruled by the Doshas and related planets is fundamental in ayurvedic/spiritual healing. The typical Vata problem of anxiety and ungroundedness is related to the Lightness and Mobility of Vata: In order to heal, you need the Heaviness and stabillity of Earth to balance the overabundant Vata qualities.
The Vata problem of having a skinny and underdeveloped body, joint pain is based on the drying effect of Vata (lack of jojnt lubrication) along with the light quality. Nerve pain is also related to the dryness of Vata. (If you observe how you feel after a night of low quality sleep, you can feel that your whole nervous system is "dried out")
Understanding all of the above it becomes clear how a dominant Vata constitution leads to a lean, low weight body.
Pitta is the reflection of Cosmic Fire:
It's planets are Sun and Mars
The main element is Fire, while the secondary element is Water (think about bile, that helps digesrion, or blood that carries heat and digestive acid - watery substances with fiery qualities) The zodiac sign of Scorpio also resmbles Pitta as a Water sign ruoed by a Fiery planet.
The main organs ruled by pitta are the small, intenstine, the bile and liver (note how these organs all relate to the Solar/Fire Chakra and in chinese medicine Liver is said to be the seat of anger - a pitta emotion)
Heart is also a mainly a Pitta organ - Sun the pitta planet rules over the heart and heart related problems, and also the main ruler of Blood)
Pitta is liquid, Light/Unstable, and Hot.
The most common Pitta diseases are related to blood (when the overabundance of bile becomes mixed with blood) irritation and aches.
Pitta body type is probably the most attractive as it is balanced, medium in height, athletic build with well developed muscles. The steretypical nordic/Aryan features of fair/white skin, light eyes and blonde/red hair are considered to be pitta body characteristics.
Pitta people are usually highly motivated, with a strong drive to success and often become good leaders. They have piercing intellects, strong memory (owing to their mental fire that digests information quickly) and make good leaders. However they are irritable, easy to anger, very reactive, agressive and find it hard to relax and chill out.
Kapha is the Universal Water, with Moon, Venus and Jupiter as planets.
Main element is Water in the field of Earth. Think about the zodiac sign of Taurus, an Earth sign ruled by Venus, a Kapha planet.
Kapha is heavy/stable, damp/cold and liquid.
It's main site in the body: stomach and lungs. Kapha is the overruler of the body in itself, and almost all of the tissues, it rules all bodily fluids, the hormones, body fat, phleghm etc.
They have large and well built healthy bodies, with a tendency to become overweight.
Their nature is slow, slow to change, conseravitve and posessive. It takes time until they decdicate themselves to take action, but once they do, they won't stop until they finish.
