Demons and Metals

Post by Ghost in the Machine »

This has been a minor curiosity of mine for a long time. Our list of demon names and profiles always has something 'attached' to them like a specific element, metal, animal or plant. I want to know more about this aspect and what it means.

I speculate that it's simply an affinity of sorts like some kind of personal connection or drawing they have to these things or is there some other meaning behind it? I decided to finally ask this here because I noticed how I personally feel a strong affinity to the metal copper and the element of fire, even an animal and plant: crocodile and jade vine.

Is there a point to these affinities or are they simply a category as simple as 'favourites'?

The metal, planet and element all corresponds to each other and their chakras.
eg: Sun - Gold - Fire - Solar chakra.
Saturn - Lead - Earth - Base chakra

I noticed in some of the updates some daemons got revised, and their metals and such no longer have a 100% correspondence,
but i'm pretty sure the metals are just allegories for the chakras like in the ancient 'alchemical' allegories.
