Poems of, and for, Phenex.

Here are two poems I wrote for my Guardian, Phenex. With his permission, I share them below.
He is wonderful. He gives good and thoughtful advice and is very friendly, warm and kind.

Phenex

Fire has many colors,
All captured within the feathers
That grace your strong, sleek form:
Phoenix soaring
Into the incandescence
Of the burning Sun.

The flapping of your mighty wings
Envelopes you in flame and smoke
Too bright for the naked eye to see.

Only the soul can feel,
What the heart permits:
To love the glory of those
Who have risen from ashes and dust
To become stronger, better, faster.

Shedding of the old skin
The glow of the new scales and feathers
Shining from within.

Newborn, living, pure.

The combustion of stars
In all their explosive beauty
Decorate your hair.

The light of your eye burning
As you raise the dawn from the East,
Awakening the world,
Gently shaking the sleeping mortal,
That they may chisel out the marble
That contains them inside
Their cage.

You offer a hand, and your wisdom
That they may soar to the heavens
With you,
Heading to the constellations
That know your secret name.

Phenex, II

All the grimoires and literature
About you and all of the Powers of Hell
Are no longer needed,
Nor applicable in this day and age.

They are dangerous to those
Who seek only wealth, fame, love, riches
Ignoring the god or goddess
That stands before them
When summoned.

Shining Phoenix,
The magicians and witches not of Satan,
Do not know you,
No matter how many times they call
Your name and for your presence,
There is no answer.

Other spirits respond instead.

You do not stop them.

There is no need;
You come to whom you choose.

I seek you in the shadows of old books
Like Solomon’s Keys
Along with obscure esoteric texts.

They are empty and useless as dust
Compared to the times I stand close to you,
Feeling the cool breeze and warm friendliness
Of your company.

I pursue you into the blinding fires
Of the Sun.
Stretching forth my own ice-white wings
Until they are charred black from the heat
From the passage from one planet
To a gigantic star of hot plasma.

You move constellations to alight the heavens
More brightly.

But what could more burning
Than your hair and eyes?

What could be sweeter than your voice
Which is both alluring and dangerous
That overcomes the mage?

None should underestimate your power,
Station or traits,
For occultists of old
Never dared to summon you by themselves, alone.

You are a Paragon,
Far-reaching,
All-hearing,
The knowledge you hold
Collected over millenniums
Which are only as seasons to you.

Do not forget me
Amidst the passage of time,
Let me be a dancing light in your crown.

Keep me in your sight,
Never far from your reach.
I will follow you across oceans and nations
.
Together,
We can traverse the galaxies.
Like a unit,
We can write Creation and Destruction
Into Being,
With the power of your voice and word,
And I as your scribe.

I found what I was looking for after reading this! I'll share the very wise words that Lord Phenex shared with me when I was very new and somewhat open.

He is amazing and my very first actual friend, besides being my GD :3333

Interesting poem Magus like the other ones, just one small critique however:

Texts such as the "Lesser Key of Solomon" and whatever other "Keys" books are out there are foul Jewish texts that are highly disrespectful toward the demons, and were foolishly written with the idea of binding the demons by Jewish sorcerers. Just something to be aware of.

Re-reading that part and thinking about it again, I can see what you meant now. We read about how "villainous" or "tricky" the Demons are alleged to be by Jewish authors in those corrupted texts, but we come to learn the exact opposite and the truth when we actually meet them. Well done.
