How to use affirmations?

Hello fellow satanists
I want to join the Indian army as an officer. What they look for is a confident , determined and optimistic person. The sad part is I am none of these. I have read about affirmations but don't know how to use them properly. So my question here is can I develop these qualities with the use of affirmations? Can I change myself as a person? If so please help me with some examples of affirmations and how to use them.

Yes you can develop qualities. You can't change yourself fundamentally but you can become a better version of yourself.
But also consider why you wanna join. Military life is a special thing it's not for everyone. Especially officer.
The best would be getting your astrology natal chart checked to see what professions or areas are suitable for you.

If you want to raise confidence you could use runes like Wunjo or Sowilo along with a good affirmation that directs the energy. Also make sure that you are timing your magical working with astrology. You can check the SS calendar to see when is good time for your workings.
