Questions regarding planetary squares.

I know the basics that there are times when it's best to start planetary squares and time when it's destructive to do so. However, there are varying lengths of each square and so on.

My question is, what am I supposed to do during those times? Just start the square with vibrating mantra at appropriate planets hours and continue to do so for necessary length each day? Do I need to do affirmations or no?

I've read that it's best to start Mars Square August 28th, is this correct?

Once you've started a square, follow the directions exactly and don't skip any days. On each day you must do exactly the number of vibrations specified on the square for that day.

When you are finished with the vibration, if you are working on tangible prosperity [non-spiritual] goals, it is important to direct the energy you raised by stating an affirmation several times while visualizing your goal in the present reality and present tense.
