With Satan, always.
Greetings, everyone.

From now on, this is where I'll be posting my poetry that I submit to the forums. My old thread can be found here: Poems by tabby with all 26 poems that I've submitted here since I made my account to today.

I have an idea I want to present and get people's opinions on. I am considering compiling my poetry that I have submitted to the forums into a digital book at the end of the year (or later - depending on things), which will be able to be downloaded for personal enjoyment by the members of the JoS. I am also considering the possibility of including some poems that I haven't submitted to the forums before and will only be included in the book itself - this isn't set in stone yet, however.

This will be a personal project I gradually work on depending on people's thoughts about it.

Please let me know if this is something anyone would be interested in and want a copy of. Cheers!

For today, to kick off this new thread, I want to honor Soaring Eagle 666, and thank him for his hard work.

The Bald Eagle

The wind calls my name in hushed whispers;
high on a cliff, I watch over all below.
Sol warms my back with his golden rays;
reflecting on my feathers, ever perfect and mellow.

A yearning I feel, to answer this call;
the current that lifts me higher and more.
It carries my voice through the valleys and hills;
as I smile with my eagle grin, evermore.

My talons kept me steady, balanced, and strong;
blades against these rocks, mighty and unyielding.
My wings, outstretched, glorious they make me;
lifting me into the noon-lit sky, I am soaring.

exciting poems tabby!

I hope you have time to work on the anthem too.
It wouldn't be complete without one of the best writers of us. :)

Thank you, that would be wonderful but HP said he has already written the words for the anthem, they just need composers for the music. :)

You know, this world needs more poetry that puts Father Satan in a good light.

That's exactly what your poems are doing.

Your work is very inspiring.

#28 Hell’s Palace

Before the gates, forged iron and steel,
silver in the dim lights of Hell’s flame;
these torches guide the way
with Hell’s dogs at my heel,
up a path who knew they could take,
crossing the threshold to make
a future for us, not one of slaves
but fighters and lovers, craftsman and cooks,
of mages and miracles, and knowledge beyond books.
I am filled with a rolling tremble
in my fingers, my soul, my earthly temple
walking the steps before Hell’s Palace
with my name in blood on parchment
I signed, and met he who they call the Devil,
and fell to one knee,
awestruck by his golden beauty.

#29 Starlight

O Light Bringer, Lord Satan Lucifer,

Share with me beyond pages and old tales, the mirror of Sat.
You, who is most beautiful, like the Sun, you illuminate the dark.

I am never lost when I gaze upon your blinding light.
You, who taught and guided me to seek with my own eyes.

I have found love and romance, lost memory, and the joys of honey
that were stolen, outlawed, and damned as sin by a mortal enemy.

Let me taste the tender ripeness of forbidden fruit,
and I’ll dance raw and enlightened in starlight only for you.
